Villeseque des Corbieres

Tucked into the hills of the Corbieres, inland from Peyriac de Mer, Villeseque is where our Prioundo comes from. Our vines are on a hill top, surrounded by garrigue: an ideal spot for organic production and wild boar! Here the clay soil is less heavy and drains well due to an abundance of stone.

The two varieties were planted some twenty years ago. Grenache and Cinsault sit side by side, the former giving the wine body and the latter some finesse. Cinsault is much maligned as a variety; however when pruned severely and cropped low it has much to offer.
