In the Agly valley of the Roussillon inland from Perpignan, this is the home of L'Extreme.

The landscape is dominated by hills covered in grey and brown schist. From the hilltops there are impressive views of the Pyrennees. Here our vines fight to survive the gusting winds as they cling onto the steep slopes rising up to the castle of Queribus. Our Grenache and Syrah yield low but make up for it in their intensity of flavour.
